About Oscar

I am a solo software architect and founder based in Staffordshire, engineering sovereign digital tools and commercial platforms for real-world independent businesses. Frustrated by extractive corporate platforms that tax small business owners with heavy commissions, I focus on building high-utility, zero-debt software where operators retain full ownership of their data, clients, and revenue. Whether developing bespoke Progressive Web Apps, complex multi-tenant banking infrastructure, or specialized e-commerce tools, my work is driven by radical capital efficiency, hands-on technical craft, and delivering enterprise-grade automation directly to the high street.

About MINT'D

MINT'D (mintd.pro) is an independent booking marketplace and digital operating system built specifically for solo beauty technicians, aesthetics creators, and independent service pros. Unlike legacy booking aggregators like Fresha or Booksy, MINT'D does not charge predatory 20% "new client discovery" fees, and it never advertises competing technicians on your personal booking profile. Instead, it provides independent artists with complete brand sovereignty: guaranteed upfront card deposits to eliminate costly no-shows, direct client data ownership, viral social booking links, and automated calendar management. It gives high-street professionals enterprise-level booking tools while letting them keep 100% of their earnings.

The journey

My journey began with a clear realisation: small businesses and independent trades were being left behind by generic template websites and gouged by corporate SaaS platforms. Rather than taking the typical route of raising outside funding and hiring layers of management, I committed to mastering full-stack architecture myself, logging tens of thousands of hours writing code, designing database schemas, and building payment pipelines from scratch. Balancing intensive engineering sprints around family life as a father and partner taught me relentless discipline. That foundation led from solving operational bottlenecks for local trades and beauty collectives directly into architecting MINT'D—proving that an independent builder can out-execute bloated agencies and create technology that truly protects the high street.

Why your vote matters

A vote for this nomination is a vote for independent local business. High-street beauty technicians and solo practitioners pour everything into their craft, yet legacy tech corporations continue to extract huge percentages of their earnings through platform fees and competitor advertising. Backing MINT'D and our independent tech architecture shows that you believe local entrepreneurs deserve modern, world-class software that protects their profits rather than exploiting them. Your vote helps amplify the message that sovereign, fair technology can transform the high street.
