Aneesah Masood

• My proudest achievement is probably becoming someone my first-year self wouldn’t quite recognise. I started university incredibly introverted (my friends and family would probably struggle to believe that), but came back in second year with a completely different mindset: say yes to opportunities, back myself a little more, and stop overthinking every little thing.
• That shift led to being nominated for Inspirational Student of the Year, being put forward by my course leader to deliver a graduation speech, and land my first industry role within 4 months of graduating with a First Class Honours. As the famous Elle Woods said... "What, like it's hard?"
• It taught me that sometimes the biggest changes happen when you step outside your comfort zone, even when your comfort zone is very comfortable and has absolutely no intention of letting you leave. More than the nominations themselves, I’m proud of how much I grew, the confidence I built, and the opportunities that followed when I finally started believing in myself!
